Mrs Agnes Lorraine Green ( maiden name WEST ) Born 11th August 1914 Died 2nd March 2013 During her 98 years Lorraine served 34 years as secretary to the probationary officers at the West London Magistrates Court. Originally living in Aberdeen Place not far from where her Father had a shoe repair shop in Edgware Road. Sister to Kathleen West, both growing up in St Johns Wood and then at Herbert Gardens, Kensal Rise. Lorraine West had been the Hon Secretary of the Kensal Rise Ward of the Conservative Association for seven years when she contested the Kensal Rise Ward as candidate in the Bye-election in 1952 and the Borough Council Elections in 1953. She was also the Conservative Candidate for the Manor Ward in the Borough Elections of 1956. Moving to Berkshire in 2003 she spent her final years close to her remaining family . It is with great sadness that I report her passing, she will be missed as an Aunt but most of all reunited with her beloved sister Kathleen and her devoted Father Edwin all of whom predeceased her.
