The UK's best places to live have been named, and one historic market town in Kent that's a commuter's dream made the list.

Created by Muddy Stilettos, the lifestyle website creates a list of the 'best places to live' every year, and it has expanded its number of entrants from 260 to 300 with London, Yorkshire and Cheshire being added to its regions.

Discussing the list, Hero Brown, the Founder and Editor-in-Chief of Muddy Stilettos said: “When people decide to move, they’re searching for more than just a house - they want a home, a lifestyle that works for them and their family, and if they’re strategic, a long-term investment too."

The research for the locations included was completed in association with the estate agent Knight Frank.

The full list of the 300 places to live for 2025 can be found at the Muddy Stilettos website here, but here are the London and Kent locations that were included.

Faversham made it to the list and it makes the perfect destination for a weekend away or a spot for commuter living.

Known as the oldest market town in Kent, Faversham was once a hidden gem kept by locals, but now it welcomes hundreds of visitors every year.

Packed with history, the town is full of quirky independent shops and charity shops all selling bargains.

Muddy Stilettos describes Faversham as a "town of two parts with the historical main centre leading down towards the Creek which is now home to Standard Quay."

In terms of food, the market town is home to the Macknade food hall which has food from all over the world along with a small cafe and pop-up stalls.

For pubs, Faversham is home to The Phoenix Tavern that's a "perfect spot for a delicious lunch with friends, a business lunch or an intimate dinner a deux."

Faversham has a strong community, with the heritage town hosting the annual Faversham Hop Festival.

At the festival, locals enjoy live music, attractions and food and drink all in aid to celebrate the hop plant.

A detached property has an average price guide of £558,077, a semi-detached at  £347,104 and a terraced is £325,959.

In terms of commuting, you can hop on the high-speed train direct to St Pancras taking just 1 hour 8 minutes or the Victoria direct for 1 hour 20 minutes.
