The Metropolitan Police has named the victim of a fatal incident at the Edmonton incinerator construction site.
Police were called by London Ambulance Service to Edmonton EcoPark at 3.10pm on November 23, following a collision on a building site involving a man and a heavy goods vehicle.
The worker has since been named as Ioan Sabou, 50, who lived in Haringey.
Mr Sabou was pronounced dead at the scene and his next of kin are aware, Scotland Yard said.
The North London Waste Authority (NWLA) released a statement following the incident saying it was with "great sadness that a fatality occured".
The statement added: "It involved a colleague working on the Energy Recovery Facility construction site. Our heartfelt thoughts are with the family, friends, and colleagues of the deceased team member."
Investigations by the Metropolitan Police and the Health and Safety Executive are under way and there have been no arrests.
The NWLA said Acciona, the conglomerate that has the contract to build the north London energy plant, is "working very closely with their partners to assist with the investigation".
Work on the facility was paused before being restarted on November 30.
The NLWA is made up of representatives from Hackney, Islington, Barnet, Camden, Enfield, Haringey and Waltham Forest councils.
