The first B&Q Local stores will be opening up in two north London locations.
The shops - smaller than the traditional large B&Q warehouses - are part of a move to give easier access to home improvement essentials in the high street.
One will be found at Camden High Street, replacing the former Lidl, and another in Green Lanes, Palmers Green.
Both will open on Friday (January 27).
The firm has opened similar smaller stores recently, such as a high street shop in Harrow town centre, but the two upcoming branches are the first to adopt the ‘B&Q Local’ name.
Customers can expect to access everything they’d find at the bigger warehouses, including a click-and-collect for over 30,000 products.
Priscilla Seaforth, unit manager at B&Q Local Camden, said: “We’re really excited to be part of the local Camden community and to be bringing our new B&Q Local store to the high street.
"We can’t wait to start welcoming customers, who’ll be able to get everything they’d expect to see at a larger B&Q store, with the convenience of being closer to home."
