Snow and ice have hit parts of north London after the Met Office issued a yellow warning as temperatures dropped overnight.
The weather warning is in place throughout the day (March 8) until tomorrow at 7am (March 9).
The Met Office warned that spells of snow and icy patches “may cause travel disruption” during Wednesday and into Thursday morning.
People were told to be careful as untreated pavements and cycle paths could be “impassable” with a “chance of injuries from slips and falls” on snow-covered or icy surfaces.
Pictures taken this morning in Highgate showed snow covering gardens and rooftops in the area.
According to the Met Office forecast, there is a 90% chance of heavy snow in the Hampstead and Highgate area until 3pm today.
This is then expected to change to sleet by early evening, continuing into the early hours of tomorrow morning.
