An extension to the beer hall of a brewery famous for Camden Hells Lager which will allow for 50 extra punters has opened.
The expansion project to The Camden Town Brewery’s venue in Wilkin Street Mews, Kentish Town, makes use of the space underneath the archways of the brewery to proivde more space for eating and drinking.
The beer hall and brewery, which is run by Budweiser Brewing Group, currently supports 16 jobs in north London.
Kevin Hollinrake MP, minister for enterprise, markets and small business, attended the official opening of the extended Camden Beer Hall on Thursday (May 25).
Mr Hollinrake said: “The Government stands firmly behind the hospitality sector, and I was really pleased to visit the Camden Beer Hall and brewery and officially open their new beer hall extension, which will play an important role in the local community.
“The company is a key employer in the area, and it was great to speak with some of the apprentices and hear first-hand about their part in the brewing - and serving - of pints.”
The Camden Beer Hall extension will serve its usual favourites, such as Camden Hells Lager and Pale Ale.
Alternatively, punters can opt for a new, limited-edition ‘Bellini Lager’, the brewer’s latest summer seasonal drink.
The opening also coincided with the launch of the brewery's new Camden Stout.
