Oslo Court (European, British)
This restaurant in Charlbert Street in St John’s Wood comes out on top in the area according to TripAdvisor.
It has fish and meat on the menu, as well as vegetarian and vegan options.
One customer who visited earlier this month (June 2023) said: “From the moment we arrived we were made to feel extremely welcome like we were old friends.
“The time capsule menu is a joy and executed superbly. How refreshing in London to eat splendid food in generous portions.”
Another reviewer claimed that it was the perfect place for special occasions. They said: “Been many times now, you can always rely on great service and excellent food.
“Great place to take family for special days or birthdays…or just you and a partner.
“The only trouble your [sic] have is saving room for the fantastic deserts.”
Camino King’s Cross (Mediterranean, European, Spanish)
Next on the list is this Spanish restaurant in the Regent Quarter near King’s Cross station.
This restaurant and bar has outdoor seating and a happy hour at the weekends.
One person praised the tapas selection offered by Camino. They said: “Excellent range of Spanish style tapas - not the typical anglicised plates served elsewhere.
“Really enjoyed the padron peppers, spanish omelette and black pudding.
“Pleasant and efficient service. Would definitely return next time in London.
Lemonia Greek (Mediterranean, Greek)
The Greek restaurant in Regent’s Park Road in Primrose Hill is open until 11pm on every day except Sunday.
It’s lively atmosphere has been praised by one customer who said: “This is a great asset to the neighbourhood around the Chalk Farm station.
“The food is delicious, the service friendly, the atmosphere lively. We like to go there at least once during every visit to London.”
Duke of York (British, Pub)
Taking the number four spot is this classic British pub in St Ann’s Terrace in St John’s Wood.
One customer who visited at the start of this year said: “Good experience, excellent service and good pub food.
“We all had fish and chips which was enjoyable. Service – have to say that it was outstanding – thank you.”
Ekachai (Asian, Thai)
Rounding off the TripAdvisor top five list is this Thai restaurant in York Way near King’s Cross station.
The restaurant also has sites in Camden and Wandsworth, and has proved a hit with Londoners.
One customer who visited the King’s Cross branch said: “Had lunch here 20/5/2023 and it was probably the best Thai food I've ever eaten.
“Pleasant staff, great service and big portions. Would definitely recommend.”
