A man has appeared in court having been charged with murdering his own daughter.

Kyle Kitchen, 36, from Camden, allegedly injured Primrose Kane when she was a baby on November 3, 2014.

Primrose later died at the age of six, allegedly as a result of her father’s actions, on May 17, 2021.

Kitchen was charged with murder and appeared at the Old Bailey for a preliminary hearing yesterday (June 19).

Kitchen, who spoke to confirm his identity by video link from Thameside prison, was remanded in custody.

The Daily Mail reported that Kitchen previously appeared on Channel 5 documentary The Accused, which centred around Primrose’s mother.

Judge Sarah Munro KC set out a timetable for the case. A plea hearing is scheduled for October 9 with a three-week trial following from April 9, 2024.
