An ice cream parlour near a central London railway station is bringing back the 99p ice cream for the start of the school holidays.
Ruby Violet ice cream parlour in King's Cross will be offering Flake ice creams for just 99p every day over the next two weeks.
Starting tomorrow (July 22) visitors can buy the limited-edition ice cream from the parlour’s van on Granary Square bridge.
But those with a sweet tooth will need to be quick, as only 99 ice creams are available at the eponymous price each day, with the offer ending on August 5.
Ruby Violet ice cream was founded in 2011, and was first sold from a stall outside Tufnell Park Tavern.
The parlour later moved to premises close to Tufnell Park and Kentish Town, before opening a second venue in King’s Cross in 2016.
Although the 99 Flake has been most commonly associated with the British summer throughout its history, the offer will actually form part of a summer-long event in the area called 'the French Riviera at King’s Cross'.
This will also see four pétanque courts built in Lewis Cubitt Square and an outdoor cinema, run by Everyman as Screen on the Canal, installed.
