A tree crashed to the ground overnight as Storm Agnes hit the UK with gale force winds.
A picture shared with Ham and High showed work taking place to remove the fallen tree at the junction between Hilldrop Road and Brecknock Road near Kentish Town.
One local said that he was told the tree toppled over in the wind at about 7pm yesterday (September 27) and that work to clear it from the road took place over night.
They added that work to chop up and remove the tree was still taking place late this morning.
Islington Council has confirmed that its tree service team attended the road last night and this morning to clear the tree away and unblock the road.
Part of Hilldrop Road was taped off earlier today so only single lane traffic could pass down the street.
The incident comes after Storm Agnes hit the UK, causing gale force winds and floods in some parts of the country.
