Kenwood's Christmas light trail opens to the public tomorrow (December 1) and we have a sneak first peek at the brand new illuminations.
Produced by the award-winning team at Kilimanjaro Live in partnership with English Heritage, Christmas at Kenwood returns to Hampstead Heath for the third year with a trail that includes interactive elements to a soundtrack of festive music.
Running from December 1 until January 1, visitors should expect sparkle, surprises and picture-perfect moments as they follow the trail around the grounds of the historic mansion.
Festive food and warming drinks are also available to buy as you follow a loop from Kenwood's East Lodge to the grand finale - a sound and light show on the facade of the 18th Century house.
Creative director Katherine Jewkes has worked with light art pioneers, Luminism, to create 13 new installations ranging from lasers, to giant disco balls and an illuminated Rubik's Cube.
She said: “We’re delighted to bring a brand-new trail to Kenwood for 2023, and this year will be extra special. With some unique installations especially designed for Kenwood, and more interactive installations than ever before, we’re excited for this year to be the best yet.”
Tickets and information are available from ChristmasatKenwood.com.
Stuart Galbraith, CEO of Kilimanjaro Live, said: “Christmas at Kenwood has become a spectacular festive event and we can’t wait for everyone to enjoy this revamped trail for 2023."
Abi Marsh, head of historic properties English Heritage, London said: “The trail will be a spectacular festive feast for the senses, and the perfect way to get the family into the yuletide spirit.
"We can’t wait to see Kenwood’s historic grounds transformed into a magical winter wonderland through music and light installations."
