A couple on a night out have been left shaken after an expensive Rolex watch was ripped out of a man’s hands.
The man, in his 50s, had been out for an evening with his wife when two men ran up to them from behind on Frognal Way, between Hampstead and Finchley Road, on September 13 at 6.59pm.
In a new appeal released by the Metropolitan Police, the force said the couple were pulled to the floor in a struggle before the suspects ripped the man’s black and gold Rolex Yacht Master with a black rubber strap from his wrist.
A member of the public who tried to help the couple then called police at 6.59pm.
However the suspects were not found after the area was searched.
The Met says the victims were left shaken but did not suffer any serious physical injuries.
Images have been shared of two images who officers would like to speak to.
Sergeant Max Pennington, of Camden Police, said: "The man and his wife were on their way home after enjoying a night out when this horrible incident happened.
"I'm keen to hear from anyone who can identify the two men. I also want to hear from any jewellers or pawnbrokers who might have been offered the watch for sale.”
Anyone who can identify the men pictured are asked to call 101 or contact @MetCC on X / Twitter referencing CAD 7126/13 Sept.
