Royal Mail has confirmed that there may be issues with certain deliveries to addresses in St John's Wood today.
People living in the NW8 postcode in north London will not be receiving post today (December 8) and nor will any post, such as Christmas cards, be collected.
In a small number of local offices, this may temporarily not be possible due to local issues such as high levels of sick absence, resourcing, or other local factors, the delivery firm said on its website.
It added: "In those cases, we will rotate deliveries to minimise the delay to individual customers.
"We also provide targeted support to those offices to address their challenges and restore our service to the high standard our customers would normally receive."
Royal Mail is a business that provides postal and delivery services six days a week to homes across the United Kingdom.
