A man who was stabbed to death near Abbey Road has been named by police.
Ahmed Jama was found with stab wounds near Gaymead in Camden on the Abbey Estate, Abbey Road, at around 7.32pm last Friday (December 29).
Officers found the injured man, 29, at the scene and administered first aid after being called by the London Ambulance Service.
Ahmed, a Camden resident, was taken to a west London hospital where he was pronounced dead at 9.55pm that day, despite the efforts of medical staff.
Detective Chief Inspector Neil Rawlinson, who is leading the investigation, said: "Ahmed’s family are starting their New Year devastated by their loss.
"If you have any information that could help our investigation please get in touch.
"We would like to speak to anyone who either witnessed the stabbing, or has information about who was responsible."
Ahmed's family continue to be supported by police and a post-mortem examination will take place in the coming days.
There have been no arrests yet.
The investigation is ongoing and detectives are keen to hear from witnesses who have not yet come forward.
