A 31-year-old man has appeared in court accused of killing a man found dead in a flat.
Bamidele Fawehinmi, of Clissold Close, Muswell Hill, appeared at Barkingside Magistrates’ Court today (February 2) charged with murder.
Police were called to an address in Lansdowne Drive, in London Fields, Hackney, at about 12.30am on Monday (January 29) about concerns for the welfare of a man.
On arrival, officers found a man dead inside the flat.
A post-mortem examination on Wednesday (January 31) found the man died as a result of injuries caused by an assault, Scotland Yard said.
A spokesperson said the victim was of no fixed address and that police are seeking to identify and notify the dead man's next of kin.
Fawehinmi was remanded in custody and will next appear at the Old Bailey on Tuesday (February 6).
