People have been urged to have their say on a new retirement village that will include up to 160 homes, a new café and other facilities.

The Mayfield Village will be part of Brent Cross Town’s regeneration project, built at the site - known as Plot 22 - and was made possible by a £200 million partnership between Barnet Council and retirement community developer Audley Group and Senior Living Investment Partners.

Along with the 150 to 160 later living homes, there would also be communal gardens, a public café or bistro, health and wellness facilities and a village hall.

A parade of shops along the new high street, Merchant Street, would also be part of Plot 22.

The new village would be part of the 180-acre new Brent Cross Town neighbourhood, which will bring 6,700 new homes to the area, three redeveloped schools, the new high street and other facilities.

Before its planning application is put forward to Barnet Council, Brent Cross Town would like to gather the public’s thoughts on the plans.
