A television show about the phone hacking scandal is reportedly being filmed near Alexandra Park.
Film crews were spotted in the Alexandra Park and Muswell Hill area yesterday (March 18) with classic looking cars and trailers seen.
Eagle-eyed John Lawal, who has lived in Muswell Hill for over 40 years, says that he spotted police officers at the scene assisting with the filming locations from Alexandra Park, and a filming unit convoy driving along Tottenham Lane, Hornsey High Street and around Muswell Hill.
It is understood that the production is for ‘Project Mandrake’, which has been filming in different parts of the UK over recent months.
Cavendish Road in Kilburn was closed for several days between February 19 and February 23 for filming of what is believed to be the same project.

And just outside London, ITV Studios closed roads in Croxley Green, Hertfordshire, in January.
While details for the new show are scarce, a production list titled ‘Mandrake’ published last year states it is about the UK phone hacking scandal and the downfall of Rupert Murdoch’s News of the World newspaper.
According to the production list, the shoot date was originally set for September 2023.
Filming for an ITV production is also set to take place at Denton Road, Crouch End, today (March 19), and Wednesday (March 20).
The project’s name is not mentioned, but Haringey Council has published a notice that filming is set to take place on the public highway with the entire road closed off between 6pm and 11pm.
Parking will be suspended and there will be no waiting or no loading on both sides of the road between properties 1 to 34.
Routes will be diverted through Weston Park, Mayfield Road and Ridge Road.
