The Affordable Art Fair returns to Hampstead next month with thousands of works on show in a giant marquee which bosts the 'only rooftop bar overlooking the Heath'.
A photobooth for immortalising furry companions by professional dog photographer Amie Barron, and a new labyrinthine immersive installation by Belgian artist Jules Wittock, will also be among the attractions.
Taking place on the Lower Fairground from May 8-12, the fair will showcase a huge variety of contemporary art from local and international galleries representing 15 countries from as far afield as Turkey, the Netherlands, Italy, South Korea, Singapore, Spain, South Africa, and China.
Charity partner ARTHOUSE Unlimited will showcase work by adults with neuro-diverse, learning and physical difficulties; rising star artists from Made in Arts London will display their talents; and the winners of the prestigious Jackson’s Art Prize 2024 can also be seen over the five day fair.
Visitors can discover 1,000s of artworks priced from £50 - £7,500, with DJs and drinks at summer lates during the week until 9pm, and MUST Wine serving English wine, and Champagne from their Champagne Bar, alongside a daily wine tasting class.
It's now 25 years since the first Affordable Art Fair was held in Battersea and the Hampstead spring event has been an annual fixture for the last decade.
Hugo Barclay, UK Fair Director & Art Expert, has also selected his 'director's cut' of artists to watch out for.
He said: "Affordable Art Fair Hampstead is a fantastic event to celebrate the start of summer. We are proud to be one of the few large-scale events to take place on iconic Hampstead Heath, offering a charming setting for a fun day out for art lovers.
"We’re thrilled to have a broad range of excellent galleries exhibiting with us this year, with art from around the world coming together in a beautiful London landmark. We encourage visitors to get lost in the art with Jules Wittock’s maze-like display at this year’s fair, welcome wine-lovers to find the perfect pairing for their new pieces at MUST Wine Bar, and invite four-legged friends to pose for the Doggy Photobooths.
"With so much on offer, we are confident that everyone will enjoy a day out at Affordable Art Fair Hampstead.”
