A Thai restaurant chain has confirmed the opening date of its new branch, more than a year after was first set to open.
Giggling Squid will be opening its 50th branch in the former Bill's premises in Muswell Hill Road later this month.
Originally the Ham&High reported that this was meant to open in mid-2023, but it was delayed for some time to mid-2024.
The chain has now confirmed that the restauraunt - able to seat 100 diners indoors and 40 outdoors - will serve customers from May 20.
As part of its grand opening, the restaurant will offer 50 per cent off food for pre-bookings during its launch week.
The restaurant will create around 30 new jobs, the chain says.
Giggling Squid co-founder Andy Laurillard said: “We are absolutely delighted to bring the vibrant flavours of Thailand to Muswell Hill.
“Our mission has always been to create a dining experience that is both authentic and accessible, and we believe that the welcoming atmosphere and rich culinary heritage of Muswell Hill perfectly align with our values.”
It will be open between 12pm and 10pm from Monday to Sunday.
