A summer of free and affordable waterside activities is planned around King’s Cross station this year.
From mid-June, the station area will be transformed into a French Riviera-style "urban oasis".
The programme this year, which features free games, a music festival and food markets, promises a unique seaside experience in the heart of London.
Chrissy Cullen, Related Argent’s King’s Cross place marketing director, said: "Our summer lineup promises an unforgettable experience for all, from bespoke souvenirs capturing the essence of our urban oasis to friendly games of boules at KX Pétanque.
"With music festivals, markets brimming with creativity, and scenic outdoor cinema nights, there's no shortage of reasons to make King's Cross your go-to destination this summer."
KX Pétanque makes a popular return this year, after a successful debut last summer.
From June 19 to September 1, residents and visitors will have the opportunity to play the French game, also known as boules, in the middle of London.
With two 15-metre pétanque courts in Pancras Square, it offers a great opportunity for friendly competition and making summer memories.
For music enthusiasts, the free King’s Cross Summer Sounds festival is back from August 15 to 26.
Featuring performances from a range of musicians and dancers, this community-based event will be co-curated by local businesses and organisations.
For foodies and art lovers, a variety of markets are set to take over the area from July throughout the summer.
Whether you are after unique art pieces at the Illustrators Fair, handcrafted items at Crafty Fox, or some fine wine at the Wine Car Boot, King’s Cross will cater to your tastes.
Film fans can also opt to spend a lazy summer evening at London’s most picturesque outdoor cinema, Screen on the Canal, which returns from July 1 to August 18.
The cinema will screen more than 150 films, from box office hits and family favourites, to cult classics.
Viewers can also enjoy screenings of the Wimbledon Tennis Championships.
One notable addition for 2024 is the 'KX Souvenir Shop'.
Set to open from July 25 to September 8, it is a Riviera-inspired shop offering unique mementoes.
