A woman who has led work to safeguard Ally Pally "for now and forever" has been recognised in the King’s Birthday Honours.
Emma Dagnes, CEO of Alexandra Park and Palace Charitable Trust, has been made an OBE for her services to heritage.
For the past 14 years, Ms Dagnes has driven the transformation of Alexandra Palace into a popular cultural destination, hosting events including live music, festivals, theatre, children's activities, conferences and farmers markets.
Overseeing the 150th anniversary celebrations of the Grade II-listed Palace and its 196-acre park, millions of visitors have visited the landmark every year during her time as CEO.
Ms Dagnes said: "I am truly honoured to have received this award.
"Heritage is much more than just physical structures. It is about the people and the stories that inhabit these spaces."
She added: "Ally Pally is one of the nation’s great success stories in this respect.
"That is thanks to a huge number of people who have worked, campaigned, volunteered and fundraised to ensure the survival and success of the "People's Palace" over its 150 years.
"I am proud to be one of their number and privileged to continue to serve as we move forward with an exciting and bold new Vision and resolve to safeguard Ally Pally for now and forever."
Established in 1873 as the ‘People's Palace’, Alexandra Park and Palace continue to provide entertainment and recreation to the public in line with its founding purpose.
Today, it contributes £94 million per year to the economy.
Congratulating her on the honour, Cllr Emine Ibrahim, chair of the trustees of Alexandra Park & Palace Charitable Trust, said: "On behalf of the trustees and myself I am delighted to see Emma recognised with an OBE.
"Since starting at Alexandra Park and Palace 14 years ago, Emma has brought energy, imagination and dedication to all that she has undertaken.
"Emma embodies the Ally Pally spirit."
Alexandra Palace is preparing for its biggest ever summer season with outdoor events, including the Kaleidoscope Festival on July 13 where attendees can enjoy music, comedy and performances.
