A music venue is looking to extend the hours its allowed to play recorded music and host live performances.
Castle Rock Properties Limited has applied to change its music licence at Electric Ballroom, in Camden High Street.
The 1,500 capacity venue currently allows recorded music to be played between 6pm to 3am on Mondays to Wednesdays.
On Thursdays it is licensed between 6pm and 4am, and then on Fridays and Saturdays it can play or stage music from 6pm until 6am.
On Sundays, music is permitted from noon until 4am.
In a licensing application, the venue has requested to be able to start playing recorded music from 11am.
It also has applied to extend the hours for live music to begin at the same time.
Live music is currently only permitted from 6pm to 11pm between Monday and Thursday and 7pm to 10pm on Friday to Sunday.
If the application is approved, then live music on Fridays and Saturdays can carry over to 1am and 3am the morning after.
On Sundays, the venue hopes to be able to play live music starting from noon.
The application also mentions allowing dance performances from 11am to 6pm on Monday to Saturday.
In comparison, dance performances are currently only permitted from 6pm to 3am on Mondays to Wednesday, 6pm to 4am on Thursdays, 6pm to 6am on Fridays and Saturdays and noon to 4am on Sundays,
No changes are requested to the Electric Ballroom's opening hours or the sale of alcohol.
