A wacky soapbox race is returning to Ally Pally this weekend - here's everything you need to know ahead of the action-packed afternoon.
The Red Bull Soapbox Race hurtles back to Alexandra Palace this Saturday (June 22) with 60 amateur teams ready to test their homemade vehicles down the famous course.
These outlandish soapboxes must navigate a downhill course outside the north London landmark, relying solely on gravity.
Teams will be judged on creativity, speed, and showmanship, taking on four famous features of the Red Bull Soapbox Race track, including The Water Roller, The Wedge, The Bone Rattler and The Kicker.
Competitors have come up with some quirky team names and designs, such as the Yorkshire Puddings, Flaming Haggis, and Harry Crane.
A new addition to the program this year is a half-time show race for content creators, including selected participants from Red Bull's Young Constructor's Grant and Test Pilot Competition.
The race kicks off at 2pm, and the winner will be declared at 6pm.
For those who want to watch, gates to Alexandra Palace open at midday with pre-race activities like athlete shows and live music, as well as food stalls.
Fans can also watch full event coverage on RB TV at 6pm.
This year, the racing schedule also features a half-time Creators Race, where teams led by Bambino Becky, PieFace, The Fellas, ItalianBach & ArthurTV, and Konstantin, compete for the title of fastest content creator.
This unique event will be streamed on Red Bull's YouTube channel at 3pm.
The Red Bull Soapbox Race is also promoting young talent, with ten teams of 18-25-year-olds given the means to bring their soapbox dreams to life via Red Bull grants and the resources at Building BLOQs in London.
The first soapbox to hit the track will be the 'Not Bucket List Journey Time Capsule', designed by winner of the Red Bull Test Pilot competition Lauren Crossley.
She dubbed this project the 'No Bucket List Journey', and said it was a way of helping her mental and physical health.
