A portable pink wind turbine last seen at Glastonbury Festival will soon be powering food and drinks stands at Alexandra Palace.
The turbine, named 'Gusty Spinfield', is provided by Octopus Energy and will be powering stalls during Ally Pally's Summer Season from July 6 to July 25.
Perched at the top of the hill, it is taller than six London double-decker buses, and will generate enough green electricity to run 300 fridges a day.
Any extra power it produces will be stored in a battery to ensure no energy is wasted.
London's first festival featuring wind energy, the Kaleidoscope Festival, will take place on July 13.
Emma Dagnes, CEO at Alexandra Park, said: "Our vision for the future of Ally Pally is to become a sustainable home for everything we do.
"Gusty is an amazing learning opportunity, allowing us to explore how we can embed renewable energy into our world-famous events."
Octopus Energy CEO Zoisa North-Bond added: "Our temporary pink wind turbine was a big hit at Glastonbury and we’re delighted its London debut is at the iconic Ally Pally."
