A tube station was closed until end of the day while fire crews tackled a blaze in a ventilation shaft during rush hour.
More than 20 firefighters, three engines and a fire rescue unit were scrambled to Belsize Underground Station in Belsize Park at 4.58pm on Tuesday (August 13).
They had received reports that smoke was issuing from the station.
Crews conducted a thorough investigation and extinguished a small fire in a ventilation shaft, which London Fire Brigade said was caused by a "build up of debris".
The incident was over for firefighters at 9.44pm.
However TfL said that trains did not stop at the station for the remainder of the service, which stops around midnight, with trains running straight through from Chalk Farm to Hampstead.

TfL did not say what caused the fire.
A spokesperson said: "The station was closed around 5pm, with trains non-stopping, and remained closed until the end of service."
Crews from Kentish Town, West Hampstead and Soho Fire Stations attended the scene alongside a Fire Rescue Unit from Heston Fire Station.
