Frank Carter with Paul Cook, Glen Matlock and Steve Jones of the Sex Pistols have announced a huge gig in Kentish Town when they will perform iconic album Never Mind The Boll**ks in full.
The announcement comes following an overwhelming response for their Bush Hall shows in August.
The three sold out dates were fundraisers for Bush Hall - a local venue for drummer Cook when growing up in Shepherd's Bush.
Now, the band will play another landmark venue on 26th September with a further collaboration that's became one of the music events of the year.
Frontman Frank Carter - taking the place of John Lydon - joins three original members of one of Britain's most influential rock bands, to perform the punk rockers' 1977 album.
The band's only studio album, featuring tracks God Save The Queen, Pretty Vacant, Holidays in the Sun, and Anarchy in the UK, was released during Queen Elizabeth's jubilee year and went straight to Number One in the album charts going on to achieve Platinum status.
“The response to the Bush Hall shows has been overwhelming and it’s a privilege to help out a local venue like that,” says Steve Jones.
“And it became obvious that there are many more fans who want to see us. Playing with Frank has been such a pleasure that we wanted to extend the fun. So Kentish Town, here we come."
Tickets for the gig at the O2 Kentish Town Forum go on general sale at 9am on Friday August 16 via www.livenation.co.uk
Originally built in 1934 as an art deco cinema, The Kentish Town Forum Theatre, became an Irish dance hall and bingo hall before turning into a live music venue in the 1980s.
Under the name Town and Country Club - renamed The Forum by Mean Fiddler group in the 1990s - the venue in Highgate Road has hosted huge names over the years including Van Morrison, David Bowie, Coldplay, Nina Simone, Oasis, Robbie Williams, The Who and Prince to name a few.
