Floodwater could be seen cascading down a road close to King’s Cross station after a water pipe burst.
Firefighters were called to Pentonville Road at around 4am this morning to reports of flooding.
A large pipe had burst, submerging much of the street between York Way and Rodney Street under water.
Footage posted online showed streams of water cascading down Pentonville Road in the early hours of the morning.

Pictures taken this morning showed firefighters working at the scene as they tried to divert water with flood barriers.
Around 20 people were evacuated from nearby properties by water rescue crews that were deployed to the scene.
A drone has also been used by firefighters to better assess the extent of flooding in the area.
Traffic has had to be diverted around the floodwater, but trains continue to run as normal from King’s Cross station.
Thames Water has apologised for the disruption, and said that there was no impact on the water supply for customers.
The area affected by flooding has seen a number of leaks over the last few years, which Thames Water has blamed on old Victorian pipes.
The water company began a £20 million project to replace pipes in the area earlier this year.
