A winning £1 million lottery ticket bought in Camden six months ago has still not been claimed.
One lucky EuroMillions ticketholder is sitting on a fortune – and only has one day left to still bag their prize.
The ticket was bought for the draw carried out on February 23 this year, but its owner has still not stepped forward.
Players have been urged to double check their tickets, as the prize is not redeemable after tomorrow (August 21).
The ticketholder has a winning UK millionaire maker code, which guarantees that at least one entrant becomes a millionaire after every EuroMillions draw.
The winning code from February 23 was – XSPW 63863.
Andy Carter, from The National Lottery, said, “We are so very close to the deadline for this EuroMillions prize, and we’ve not yet been contacted by the rightful ticketholder to claim their prize, despite numerous appeals.”
He added: “All that we ask is for you to take some time out of your day to have a search and check your EuroMillions tickets.
“That short amount of time could end up making you a millionaire! We are ready and waiting with champagne on ice for that life-changing phone call to come in to us here at The National Lottery.”
If no-one comes forward with the winning ticket before the prize claim deadline, then the money, plus all the interest it has generated, will go to help National Lottery-funded projects across the UK.
