St Peter's and St Gildas' Catholic Schools are about to embark on an exciting new journey, with both schools moving to the St Gildas' site in Oakington Way, Crouch End in September 2024.
This marks a pivotal moment in their shared history, as the schools unite at one location, blending their rich traditions with a renewed focus on innovation and progress.
The move represents more than just a change of address; it reflects the schools' commitment to fostering a caring, inclusive community where time-honoured values meet modern educational practices.
The unified site will provide an opportunity to revitalise the curriculum, introduce contemporary teaching methods and nurture a renewed sense of unity among pupils, parents, and staff.
Over the past year, St Peter's and St Gildas' have shown their dedication to excellence, with pupils excelling in a wide range of activities - from film-making and sustainable fashion design to karate highlighting the schools' ability to adapt and innovate, laying the groundwork for an even more dynamic educational experience in the future.
The positive outcomes reflected in the end of year data underscore the success of recent changes, and the schools are eager to build on this progress as they move forward together.
As the two schools come together, the community can look forward to a future full of opportunities.
The new curriculum will blend traditional and modern approaches, ensuring pupils receive a well-rounded education that prepares them for future challenges. New subjects such as philosophy and meditation will be added to help support student’s emotional and spiritual education alongside their academic progress.
A dedicated parental working group has played a key role in shaping the vision for the newly united school, ensuring that community voices are central to the decision-making process.
The upcoming union is a significant milestone for St Peter's and St Gildas'.
The school community is excited to embrace the future together, combining the strengths of both schools to create an exceptional educational experience where tradition and innovation go hand in hand.
We welcome visits from all who may wish to join us on our journey.
