A woman has been arrested at a busy London tube station at rush hour on suspicion of assaulting an emergency worker.
Police were called to Mornington Crescent station at around 7.30am this morning (Friday, October 11) to reports of an aggressive passenger on the tube.
At the scene a 35-year-old woman was arrested and taken into custody.
As a result of the incident, the Northern Line was partly suspended this morning.
A spokesperson for British Transport Police said: “Officers were called to Mornington Crescent station at 7.32am this morning (11 October) following reports of an aggressive passenger on an underground service.
“Officers attended and a 35-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of assault emergency worker.
“She has been taken to police custody.”
